Well.... yesterday did not go as planned
but it turned out to be a lovely day after all.
We babysat for our new little Grandson, Bradley
We haven't stayed up to see the New Year in for maybe 20 years.
We watched Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve special and
we enjoyed it very much :)
Bradley pretty much just ate and slept...
Mom and Dad got home a little after one.
Of course, I watched TV until 230 and then got up at 4
'cause I'm a dork LOL
But I'm glad I did.
I started a "self improvement" program called:
The Sea Change Program.
Here is a link to read about it.
Every month, a different topic is addressed.
January, we are learning how to fix being a procrastinator....
which,
if you look it up,
you will see my photo :)
It is very interesting to read why one procrastinates,
but in order to work on fixing this problem,
we are to choose one, "most important thing" to \accomplish for the day.
I have included an excerpt below:
Here are the habits (more on each below):
Habit 1: Picking a Most Important Task each morning.
Habit 2: The Start. Develop the habit of starting. Become aware when you resist starting.
Habit 3: The Pause. Learn to pause when you get the urge to procrastinate. Watch and let go of your fears and irrational beliefs around procrastination.
The Plan
- During the first week (Jan. 1-7), just focus on Habit 1 — Most Important Task, or MIT. So pick an MIT every morning, write it down. Should only take 2 minutes. This is the task you should start your day with — pay yourself first, before answering email or checking on other things for other people. Report on your forum — to your accountability group and/or to the forum in general, each day after you do your habit for the day, even if you didn’t do the habit. Not just for this week, but every week.
- Don’t worry about not procrastinating on your MIT for the first week. Just watch yourself if you do start to procrastinate.
so I think that in order to be "accountable"
I will post my Most Important Task
here in my blog
and then I will report back the next day to
show a photo of my "Task".
For my first Most Important Task,
I am going to plan and sew a simple project.
As the days go by,
I will be a little more specific.
Oh...
and I am also going to keep tabs on
what I am eating.
Wish me luck !!!
:)
